Hello, my name is Kristína Bučková, I am an illustrator, a graphic designer and an art photographer. I am a life-long student, who believes that creativity is a skill that should be constantly developed. Your knowledge and creativity is something that cannot be taken away from you, therefore you should nurture your talents.
I am originally from Piešťany, a historical SPA town in Slovakia. Even though I grew up here, I traveled lot and studied abroad in my teenage years, helping me become more versatile. I have many interests and I put many details into my work. My wish is to create something that people can enjoy in a timeless manner; something that they can look at even a long time after and enjoy.
I am a creative creature who fell in love with everything aesthetic and who loves coming up with new visualisations for projects. I enjoy the process of taking an abstract concept, giving it a physical form and coming up with new solutions to problems.
I like to look at it in detail where I put effort into even the small elements making the system stand out among the competition on the market. This is a principle that I took my illustration style where I like to hide a lot of details, which let the viewer wander around the page and find something new each time. I believe that approaching the problems with innovation and uniqueness in mind is essential to creating a successful solution for clients.
MY EDUCATION BACKGROUND
I have a long history and background in traditional art, which reflects in my illustrated work and use of sketching techniques during my brainstorming part of the design process. In my opinion the best way to visualise ideas is to put them on the paper first before taking them into the digital sphere, so it is possible to come up with as many ideas and solutions quickly in the beginning. It is also key to experiment with techniques and materials to come up with the most effective results.
While I mostly work on my own as a freelancer, I have worked with clients on projects together with my teammates in the group, Salmon Creative Agency, which we created as a part of our course work. I managed the group as a creative director, organized scheduling of meetings and collaborated on creating solutions for branding of our clients while tailoring it for their exact needs and goals to achieve complete satisfaction. When working, I use my skills in Adobe softwares and other online platforms that enhance my creative process and critical design thinking.
